Portland Bike Shop
Cyclepath PDX is the exclusive Portland Bike Store of the BicycleAttorney.com Cycling Team
Welcoming the team's new Portland bike shop co-sponsor Cyclepath PDX.
Our team started in the heart of a bike shop back in the early 1990's thanks to Kevin Chudy of Bike N Hike and we thank him for years of his support and dedication to the Oregon bicycle community and Oregon bike racing. In the Fall of 2015 after closing the Portland store, Kevin Chudy, owner of Bike N Hike, announced his retirement and closing of the Beaverton, Milwaukie, and Hillsboro stores. We wish him a happy retirement with lots of bike riding and lots of travel adventures.
Kevin is still a huge part of the team.
In 2022 Kevin and Hugh were finally able to spend longer quality time with the kids at the orphanage in Peru and built out the 25 new bikes I bought for them, assembled the bikes built from spare parts Hugh had collected, and worked on the Casa Girasoles fleet of kids bikes, and took daily rides with the kids showing them Peru. Kevin teaching bike mechanic and bike fitting skills to the boys at the Casa Girasoles orphanage in Peru is a master class in our opinion and the boys were incredible attentive students.
In 2022 the story of this collaboration was on local Portland news. On the Causes I Support page you can find a lot more great pictures of Kevin and the kids at the first Gravel Camp as well as the extended news video featuring Kevin talking about the collaboration. A few of the older boys Hugh and Kevin think have bike talent ++ enough to represent Peru national cycling team and hopefully win a spot representing Peru at the PanAm Games in Lima 2027. In 2025 I purchased Edwin an even better bike as he keeps winning mountain bike races and is just so good, he needed a bicycle to race on that was worthy of his talent.
